Sustainability on an enlighten basis
Students Sustainability Club at Aarhus University invites speakers from business, the political field, and the scientific field to share their knowledge on how we create a sustainable development of society
Business
The association believes that with a solid collaboration between the business sector and students at Aarhus University, we can help each other achieve the ambitions of the UN's world goals and promote the value of the good idea on the business front. By virtue of an increasing demand for sustainability, we will contribute to the future labor market consisting of employees oriented towards sustainability.
Vision
Foreningen er apolitisk og har alene til formål at oplyse og mediere kontakt mellem de tre felter: det privat erhvervsliv, det politiske felt og det videnskabelige felt. Vi tror på at den frie samtale og de gode ideer kan flytte samfundet i en mere bæredygtig retning, og vi vil derfor til hver en tid søge at repræsentere et bredt udsnit af tænkere og aktører inden for bæredygtighed. Vi tror på at klimaforandringerne og deres afledte humanitære og biologiske konsekvenser er så alvorlige for fremtiden, at det retfærdiggør foreningens eksistens.
Politics
The association believes that sustainability should be an important item on the political agenda, whether it is in Copenhagen at Christiansborg, in Brussels or in Geneva. Through the free conversation and healthy debate, our work seeks to make students at Aarhus University more informed about the sustainable agenda, and among other things, how the UN's world goals are implemented in society.
Research
The association believes that a sustainable future requires a solid research-based foundation, which will always promote facts and objectivity. In our collaboration with Aarhus University, it is our desire to promote the activity in the research of sustainability and thereby ensure that students and lecturers at Aarhus University become part of an informed conversation about climate.
