The quick rundown
Purpose
The association's purpose is to increase awareness of sustainability among students at Aarhus University. This must be done through lectures, dialogues, and debates with relevant speakers with insight into sustainability. The themes of the events range from the development of new economic systems and sustainable innovation to perspectives on humanitarian aspects of sustainability. It should help students at AU to be curious about creating sustainable innovation and take the sustainability agenda further in life.
The association will draw inspiration from the UN's World Goals and Kate Raworth's Donut Economy. This expresses that the association has a holistic approach to sustainability.
Vision
The association is apolitical and its sole purpose is to inform and mediate contact between the three fields: the private business sector, the political field and the scientific field.
We believe that free conversation and good ideas can move society in a more sustainable direction. We will therefore at all times seek to represent a wide range of thinkers and actors in the field of sustainability. We believe that climate change and its derived humanitarian and biological consequences are so serious for the future that it justifies the association's existence.
